As a global business leader, Pepsico is working towards an ambitious Sustainability set of goals under the 'performance with purpose' vision of manufacturing.
Under this vision, the Global Consumer goods Major -PepsiCo, implemented SmartSense Energy Monitoring and analytics in their
Aurangabad plant leading to cost savings of nearly INR 10 million (USD 155,000) within the first year.
“The Delhi Metro Railway Corporation (DMRC), which manages nearly 218 km of tracks and 167 stations in India, has installed SmartSence devices at its energy tapping/consuming points thus providing a centralised server to monitor energy flow across 14 electricity sub-stations. With different utilities supplying power for each sub-station, DMRC has been able to observe energy trend patterns with much ease. The solution has also enabled DMRC real time monitoring of energy generation from solar panels installed on the roof of metro stations and depots. It also monitors the amount of CO2 emissions mitigated by this energy generated (i.e. 0.9 gms for each unit generated from solar). SmartSense is now in the process of developing system for real-time condition monitoring of escalators and lifts, thus helping easy monitoring of these critical equipments for passenger comfort.”
Ashok Leyland, the leading commercial vehicle manufacturers in India, implemented an advanced energy management program using SmartSense Platform, helping them perform advanced energy and asset analytics. The solution was implemented in all the eight Ashok Leyland plants across India, enabled tracking of real time energy consumption, utility costs, potential leakages and inefficiencies on a centralized cloud hosted dashboard. This created a saving potential of USD 43000 in the first year itself.
Embassy group, one of the largest real estate development firms in India, started its journey on making its buildings smarter using advanced IoT and Energy analytics from Ecolibrium's platform SmartSense.
Embassy started this experiment at Embassy Tech Village - an 8 million sq.ft park attracting 19,000 knowledge workers in the heart of Bangalore’s IT corridor. The project enabled the facility management team to have a real time view of the efficiency of each area and equipment in the tech park. Real time energy tracking and energy analytics from SmartSense enabled the site team to track potential leakages and inefficiencies and identify potential savings of up to INR 15 lakhs per month from asset energy optimization and power sourcing analytics. Embassy has now started implementing SmartSense Predictive Analytics in its campus for key assets such as Transformers.
